Project Overview
A new affordable housing project for low to moderate income singles and persons with disabilities is now available in Williams Lake.
About the Project
Williams Lake has 39 new, affordable rental homes thanks to the Province and the Williams Lake Association for Community Living. Working together, the partners built a 5-level, mixed-use, wood frame, tan and grey building at 225 1st Ave North. There are 30 rental and nine supportive homes.
Parking is on one, open level. The other four floors are apartment homes. Rental homes are for low- to moderate-income singles and people with disabilities. There are 27 one-bedroom units and three two-bedroom homes.
The supportive homes are in a separate part of the building. This area includes 24/7 staff supports for residents. This includes: 8 one-bedroom supportive housing units and one three-bedroom home for Community Living BC clients with disabilities.
In downtown Williams Lake, these homes are near shops and services like the local sports complex. Marie Sharpe Elementary School is a few blocks away.
