The B.C. government is making progress on building the homes that people need, with more than 32,000 new homes completed or underway in communities throughout the province.

Programs Receiving Funding
Building BC - Rapid Response to Homelessness (RRH) - This investment will provide $291 million to deliver a mix of permanent and temporary units in response to the growing issue of homelessness across BC. $170 million will be provided over three years for 24/7 staffing & support services. Over 2000 units have been confirmed.
Building BC - Community Housing Fund (CHF) - This investment will provide close to $1.9 billion over 10 years to develop 14,350 units of mixed income, affordable rental housing for independent families and seniors.
Building BC - Indigenous Housing Fund (IHF) - This investment will provide $550 million over 10 years to build and operate 1750 new units of social housing, both on- and off-reserve.
Building BC - Supportive Housing Fund (SHF) - This investment will provide $1.2 billion over 10 years to build and operate 2,500 units of supportive housing for people who are experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness.
Building BC - Women's Transition Housing Fund (WTHF) - This investment will provide $734 million over 10 years to build and operate 1,500 new units of housing including transition houses, safe homes, second-stage and long-term housing.
Affordable Rental Housing Program - The Province is investing $208 million over four years to build 1,700 new affordable rental homes across B.C.
Regional Housing First Program - This $90 million partnership between the federal and B.C. governments and the Capital Regional District will see 2,000 new affordable rental homes built for people on southern Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands.
HousingHub - HousingHub creates affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for middle-income British Columbians.
Deepening Affordability Fund - The Province is investing $75 million to ensure the affordability of 4,900 units that are in development and under construction.
BC Student Housing Loan Program - This is a $450 million student-housing investment which will now allow public post-secondary institutions to borrow directly from the Province to help finance an estimated 5,000 new on-campus student housing units, which previously was not permitted.
