Existing RAP/SAFER Clients

If you are an existing Rental Assistance Program or Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters client you will need to keep your file up to date and reapply each year.

Let us know of any changes

  • Address changes
  • Rent increase
  • Marital status changes
  • Number of people in your household changes

Keeping your file up-to-date ensures we can adjust your assistance and avoid overpayment.

Annual Reapplication Process

If you are an existing client you will need to reapply each year.

We will send you a reapplication form about 15 weeks before your subsidy ends. If you choose to reapply, use this form. Update your personal, household and rent information. You’ll also need to provide photocopy proof of monthly rent payments and proof of income. Visit the Citizen Portal - Online services for existing clients to complete your annual reapplication.

Payment dates

Rent assistance is paid by direct deposit on the last business day of each month.
