Violeta Developments Ltd. (“VDL”), Violeta Maria Perez (“Perez”), Mandeep Kumar Ranga (“Ranga”), contrary to section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built a coach home and a main home in Vancouver, B.C. (collectively, the “New Homes”), during the period of, or about, June 23, 2016, and August 28, 2017, without any of the New Homes being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance (“HWI”) provided by a warranty provider. On August 15, 2018, BC Housing (“BCH”) issued Compliance Order 18-0058 to VDL, Perez and Ranga directing that VDL, Perez and Ranga:
- register each of the New Homes for coverage by HWI provided by a warranty provider pursuant to section 22(1) of the Act.
VDL, Perez and Ranga were ordered to comply with Compliance Order 18-0058 by September 7, 2018. Complied.
