Stregger Construction Inc. (“SCI”), Jeremy Christopher William Stregger (“J. Stregger”), and Mary Nadine Stregger (“M. Stregger”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Act, conducted the business of a residential builder without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) between the dates of, or about, May 13, 2013, and May 13, 2014, and contrary to section 22(1) of the Act, constructed or caused to have constructed a new home in Fort St. John, B.C. (the “New Home”), between the dates of, or about, May 13, 2013, and November 24, 2014, without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On January 21, 2016, the HPO issued Compliance Order 16-0002 to SCI, and J. Stregger, and M. Stregger directing that SCI and J. Stregger and M. Stregger:
- Immediately apply for and become an HPO LRB pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act; and register the New Home for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider and ensure that a policy of home warranty insurance is issued for the New Home pursuant to section 22(1) of the Act.
SCI, J. Stregger, and M. Stregger were directed to comply with Compliance Order 16-0002 by February 26, 2016.
