Preet Homes Ltd. (“PHL”), Hardeep Virk (“H. Virk”), and Kulwinder Virk (“K. Virk”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), conducted the business of a residential builder without a valid BC Housing (“BCH”) Residential Builder Licence, between the period of, or about, November 2014 and December 2019. On July 28, 2021, BCH issued Compliance Order 21-0014 to PHL, H. Virk and K. Virk directing that PHL, H. Virk and K. Virk:  

  • immediately cease carrying on the business of a residential builder as defined in the Act; and  
  • cease conducting the business of a Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) until such time that PHL, H. Virk and K. Virk become a BCH LRB pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act. 

PHL, H. Virk and K. Virk were ordered to comply with Compliance Order 21-0014 by October 15, 2021.
