Indigenous Housing Series: Aboriginal Mother Centre Society

The Aboriginal Mother Centre Society (AMCS) provides culturally-focused supports for Indigenous women and their children. AMCS operates the Transformational Housing program, a 16-unit housing program for Indigenous mothers and their young children at risk of homelessness, and for mothers at risk of losing custody of their children.

About the Indigenous Housing Series

Case studies in the Indigenous Housing Series highlight housing providers and programs that serve Indigenous women, youth, and families who need housing support and are facing child welfare intervention. They provide information on program components and support, and examine key practices, program highlights, challenges, and successes.
