R. v. Harvey Williams and Brian Burch - On May 28, 2009, Harvey Williams pleaded guilty to offering for sale and selling a new home in Cranbrook, B.C., in May 2007, that was not covered by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider, contrary to s. 22(1) and s. 34(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act. On May 28, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Harvey Williams in the amount of $1,000, plus a $150 victim surcharge. On May 28, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Brian Burch in the amount of $1,000, plus a $150 victim surcharge.
