Harpreet Poonia ("H. Poonia") sold a new home in Burnaby, B.C. (the "New Home") on, or about, November 28, 2007, without the New Home ever being occupied as a residence and without the New Home being covered by home warranty insurance, in contravention of section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the "Act"). On January 21, 2008, Compliance Order 08-0001 was issued by the Homeowner Protection Office ("HPO") to H. Poonia directing that H. Poonia arrange home warranty insurance for the New Home by February 18, 2008. Compliance Order 08-0001-1 was issued on February 27, 2008, amending the date by which compliance was required in Compliance Order 08-0001, from February 18, 2008 to April 15, 2008. Complied.
