R. v. Ambrose Kerr - On January 28, 2009, Ambrose Kerr pleaded guilty to selling a new home in Cranbrook, B.C., in December 2006, that was not covered by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider, contrary to s. 22(1) and s. 34(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act. On January 28, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Ambrose Kerr in the amount of $1,000, plus a $150 victim surcharge. (R. v.
