R. v. Ambrose Kerr - On January 28, 2009, Ambrose Kerr pleaded guilty to selling a new home in Cranbrook, B.C., in December 2006, that was not covered by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider, contrary to s. 22(1) and s. 34(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act. On January 28, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Ambrose Kerr in the amount of $1,000, plus a $150 victim surcharge. (R. v. R. v. Harvey Williams and Brian Burch - On May 28, 2009, Harvey Williams pleaded guilty to offering for sale and selling a new home in Cranbrook, B.C., in May 2007, that was not covered by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider, contrary to s. 22(1) and s. 34(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act. On May 28, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Harvey Williams in the amount of $1,000, plus a $150 victim surcharge. R. v. Pierre Bellefeuille - On June 26, 2009, Pierre Bellefeuille, as president of 575295 B.C. Ltd., pleaded guilty to carrying on the business of a residential builder without a licence in Surrey, B.C., between the dates of December 29, 2000 and June 27, 2001, contrary to s. 14(1) and s. 34(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act. On June 26, 2009, the Provincial Court of British Columbia imposed a fine against Pierre Bellefeuille in the amount of $10,000 (R. v. Pierre Bellefeuille (June 26, 2009), Surrey 119807-1 (B.C. Prov.
