0827697 B.C. Ltd., Bella Lorenzo Bland and William Bland

On December 10, 2014, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), 0827697 B.C. Ltd. (“0827697”), Bella Lorenzo Bland (“B. Bland”), and William Bland (“W. Bland”), were issued a monetary penalty in the daily amount of $490 to a maximum of $14,700, until the demands contained in Compliance Order 14-0048 (the “CO”) have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

0899869 B.C. Ltd. and Wenda Deane

On March 2, 2012, 0899869 B.C. Ltd. (“0899869”) and Wenda Deane (“Deane”) were issued a daily monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the daily amount of $900, to a maximum of $4,500, for each day that passed  where the contravention of s. 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”) continued. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

1141021 BC Ltd., Sina Steiger, Nils Steiger, Leonid Steiger, and Irene Steiger

On November 21, 2022, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), 1141021 BC Ltd., Sina Steiger, Nils Steiger, Leonid Steiger, and Irene Steiger (S. Steiger, N. Steiger, L. Steiger and I. Steiger together, “the Steigers”) were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severely, in a daily amount of $250, to a maximum of $7,500, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 22-0013 (the “CO”) have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On July 3, 2014, pursuant to s. 28.3 (1)(a ) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), s. 20.1(2)(b) and s. 20.1(2)(g) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”), A0055278 dba VIA Mortgage Investment Corporation (“VIA”), Todd Hickling (“Hickling”), John Lopez (“Lopez”) and Anne Ambroziewicz (“Ambroziewicz”), jointly and severally, were issued a monetary penalty in the daily amount of $260 to a maximum of $7,800, for each day that passes where the contraventions of s. 14(1) and s.

Abe Guenter

On November 6, 2012, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), and s. 20.1(2)(b) and s. 20.1(2)(f) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the Regulations”), Abe Guenter (“Guenter”) was issued a monetary penalty in the single amount of $7,200. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

Alex King Charn Chang and Tricon Pacific Contracting Ltd.

On September 18, 2014, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Alex King Charn Chang (“Chang”) and Tricon Pacific Contracting Ltd. (“TPCL”) were issued a monetary penalty in a daily amount of $303, to a maximum of $9,100, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Amended Compliance Order 13-0032-1 (the “ACO”) have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

Andrea Danielle Moore and James Anthony Moore

On November 17, 2014, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Andrea Danielle Moore (“A. Moore”) and James Anthony Moore (“J. Moore”) (together, “the Moores”) were issued a monetary penalty in a daily amount of $200, to a maximum of $6,000, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 14-0027 have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

Andreas Urich

On March 27, 2017, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Andreas Urich (“Urich”), was issued a monetary penalty in a daily amount of $238, to a maximum of $7,150, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 16-0023 have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

Angus John Ellery and Carolynn Hope Ellery

On July 13, 2022, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Angus John Ellery (“A. Ellery”) and Carolynn Hope Ellery (“C. Ellery”) (together, “the Ellerys”), jointly and severally, were issued a monetary penalty in a daily amount of $183, to a maximum of $5,500, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 21-0002 (the “CO”) have been satisfied. Annalise Toporowski

On July 16, 2015, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), and

s. 20.1(2)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”), Annalise Toporowski (“Toporowski”) was issued a monetary penalty in the single amount of $5,500. The monetary penalty was issued for the following reasons:

Arjan Holdings Ltd. and Salinder Singh Bhatti

On February 27, 2020, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Arjan Holdings Ltd. (“AHL”) and Salinder Singh Bhatti (“Bhatti”), were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severely, in the single amount of $6,000. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:
• AHL and Bhatti, contrary to section 14(1) of the Act, conducted the business of a residential builder without a valid BCH Residential Builder Licence between the period of, or about, February 28, 2019, and January 21, 2020;

Balwant Singh Brar and Manpreet Grewal

On June 30, 2011, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act, (the “Act”) and s. 20.1(2)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation, (the “Regulations”), Balwant Singh Brar (“B. Brar”) and Manpreet Grewal (“Grewal”) were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the amount of $5,850. This monetary penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On June 30, 2011, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act, (the “Act”) and s. 20.1(2)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation, (the “Regulations”), Balwant Singh Brar (“B. Brar”) and Swaran Kaur Brar (“S. Brar”) were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the amount of $9,800. This monetary penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On March 1, 2011, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act, (the “Act”) and s. 20.1(2)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation, (the “Regulations”),  Balwant Singh Brar (“B. Brar”), Swaran Kaur Brar (“S. Brar”) and Wonderland Homes Inc. (“WHI”), were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the amount of $800, to a maximum of $12,000, for each day that passes until all of the demands contained in Compliance Order 09-0009 have been satisfied.

Benjamin Phillip Legg

On June 10, 2013, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Benjamin Phillip Legg (“Legg”) was issued a monetary penalty in the daily amount of $120, to a maximum of $3,600, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 10-0035 have been satisfied.
