0827697 B.C. Ltd. (“0827697”), Bella Lorenzo Bland (“B. Bland”), and William Bland (“W. Bland”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built a new home in Victoria, B.C. (the “New Home”) during the period of, or about, November 12, 2009, and June 24, 2010, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On June 3, 2014, the HPO issued Compliance Order 14-0048 to 0827697, B. Bland, and W. Bland directing that 0827697, B. Bland, and W. Bland:
- immediately apply for and become an HPO LRB pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act, and immediately enrol the New Home for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider pursuant to section 22(1) of the Act.
0827697, B. Bland, and W. Bland were directed to comply with Compliance Order 14-0048 by August 8, 2014.
